I heard in the Director’s Cut of the new Terminator movie, the way John Connor fights SkyNet is he becomes a VC and cuts the budget at Cyberdyne. Everyone is laid off and SkyNet blinks out of existence.

But The Terminator has already arrived back in time. Since his crusade is now pointless, he forgets about John Connor and runs for Governor of California. Connor’s VC dries up and he has to put his SOMA loft up for half of what he bought it for and sell his 9-11 on consignment.
