I upgraded WordPress to 2.5.1 recently. Suddenly my WP-Amazon plugin is broken! That is the thing I use to put Amazon links in my posts, and therefore like 90% of my pictures (mainly because I don’t have to host the pictures… kinda lazy huh). What happens is the little Amazon button doesn’t even show up in my Manage tab.<\/p>\n

So I did some newsgroup spelunking and found how to fix it.<\/p>\n

Let’s say your WordPress is at $WP-HOME<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. go to
    \nhttp:\/\/www.gnifty.net\/code\/wp-amazon\/<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. copy everything there<\/li>\n
  3. copy the wp-amazon.php<\/strong> to replace the one you have in
    \n$WP-HOME\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-amazon\/<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. make a directory “js<\/strong>” in that same directory<\/li>\n
  5. copy files into that directory :\n
      \n
    • jquery.accordion.pack.js<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • jquery.dimensions.pack.js<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      into $WP-HOME\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-amazon\/js<\/strong><\/li>\n

    • make another directory in that one $WP-HOME\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-amazon\/js\/jquery<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • copy the “jquery.js<\/strong>” file from $WP-HOME\/wp-includes\/js\/jquery\/jquery.js<\/strong> into
      \n$WP-HOME\/wp-content\/plugins\/wp-amazon\/js\/jquery<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • ?<\/li>\n

      I fixed WP-Amazon 2.1 in WordPress 2.5.1 — mainly by following instructions.
