A lead at last!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.book-navi.com\/hokusai\/hokusai-e.html\">Hokusai<\/a>, Japanese, 1760 &#8211; 1849 The Dish Mansion (Sara yashiki), from the series One Hundred Ghost Stories (Hyaku monogatari), 1830 Color woodcut Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, Carlotta Mabury Collection <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p \/>\n<p>It looks like the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loc.gov\/preserv\/bachbase\/bbcbooks.html\">Library of Congress<\/a> has 5 original panels:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Hokusai Hyaku Monogatari (Ghost Tales)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hokusai-kan.com\/\">Katsushika Hokusai<\/a><br \/>\nno Uchi Gomai<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In kanji his name is &#8220;\u00e8\u2018\u203a\u00e9\u00a3\u00be\u00e5\u0152\u2014\u00e6\u2013\u017d&#8221; &#8211; the series of prints is &#8220;\u00e7\u2122\u00be\u00e7\u2030\u00a9\u00e8\u00aa\u017e&#8221; which you&#8217;ll notice is just &#8220;one hundred stories.&#8221;  &#8220;Ghost&#8221; or &#8220;Monster&#8221; is <i>obake<\/i> which is written like &#8220;\u00e3?\u0160\u00e5\u0152\u2013\u00e3?\u2018&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>Another artist:  Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839-1892) (\u00e6\u0153\u02c6\u00e5\u00b2\u00a1  \u00e8\u0160\u00b3\u00e5\u00b9\u00b4)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Artist:   <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artcyclopedia.com\/artists\/yoshitoshi_tsukioka.html\">Tsukioka Yoshitoshi<\/a> (1839-1892) (\u00e6\u0153\u02c6\u00e5\u00b2\u00a1  \u00e8\u0160\u00b3\u00e5\u00b9\u00b4)<\/li>\n<li>Subject:   Shomu and the elephant.<\/lI>\n<li>Series:   Wakan hyaku monogatari (One hundred ghost stories of China and Japan).
